A SCRATCH MATCH.
'VARSITY v. CHRISTCHURCH. Christchurch, who were able lo muster up onlv 10 men, defaulted to 'Varsity at North Park. As there were several substitutes available, an interesting scratch game was played, which resulted in a win for Christchurch by 17 points to 12. SECOND GRADE. Technical College v. Sydenham A was won by Technical, with a score of 0 to nil. The scorer for the winners was Winskell. Referee: Mr M. Mcintosh. Christ's College B v. Sydenham B was won by Christ's College, with a score of 5 to nil. The scorer for the winners was Wilson. Referee: Mr A. R. Blank. West Christchurch v. Lyttclton High School Old Boys was won by West Christchurch, with a score of ti to 5. The scorer for the winners was Orchard (two penalties), and for the losers Fowlds, and (Jaylcy converted one. Referee: Mr 11. F. Fuller. Boys' High School A v. Christ's College A was won by Christ's College, with a score of (i to nil. The scorers for the winners were Hargrcaves and Wallace. Referee: Mr S. F. Wilson.
SCHOOLS RUGBY. SENIOR GRADE. Flmwood v. West Christchurch was a draw, there being no score. St. Albans v. Waltham was won by St. Albans with a score of (5 points to 3. The scorers for the winners were Dryden and Brosnan, and for the losers Smith. JUNIOR GRADE. Beckenham v. Opawa was won by Opawa with a score of 35 points to 6. The scorers for the winners were J. Wareing, F. Hargreaves, P. Small, C. Lowe, J. Yates, L. Prisk, and Cow. Referee: Mr Maguincss. Sydenham v. Fendalton was won by Fendalton with a score of 00 points to 0. Gerard was the principal scorer. Referee: Mr Robinson.
