THE TUNNELLING CORPS
A HIGH STANDARD. [From our own Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, July 19. In the House of Representatives to-day the Hon. J. Allen read an extract from a memorandum from the High Commissioner to the Prime Minister respecting the New Zealand Tunnelling Company. "I am pleased to inform you that the medical officer's report on the general health of the company throughout the voyage was excellent," said the letter, "and this good condition of things has existed right up to the present, there being only one or two cases of sickness necessitating admission to hospital for a few days. I am pleased to inform you that throughout tin- company's stay in this country the men have quite maintained the high standard of discipline shown by the other New Zealand troops and should prove themselves in every way a credit to the Dominion." It was pleasing to stale, added Mr Allen, that they had since shown they were quite equal and more than equal to their enemies.
hi the Supreme Court to-day, his Honour Mr Justice Denniston granted probates in flic following wills: —Jan es Bouser (Ma- Alpcrs), Elizabeth A. J'arlbv (Mr Twyneham), J. Hogg, Mcl'hcraou (Mr Gresson), Ernest Oppenheini (Mr Beattie), Edward VVatkins (Mr I'apprill), David Nairn (Mr Ross), Win. Roberts (Mr Patterson), Catherine Sim (Mr Dougall), .lane Frances Kennedy (Mr Joyce). Letters of administration were granted in the estates of Frances tMr Gresson) and Michael Joyce (Mr Maloney).
