A German oilicial message states: "On the eastern front there have been minor engagements, in which the Russians were unsuccessful." AUSTRIANS ROUTED. WIN FOR MONTENEGRINS. PARIS, January 3. A Montenegrin communique says: "The enemy was compelled to retire from the vicinity of Rozai. lie sustained heavy losses." ALLIES AT SALONICA. ARREST OF GERMANS. CENTRAL POWERS AND GREECE. SALONICA, January 3. The Allies continue to make numerous arrests of Germans. ATHENS, January 3. The Government is embarrassed at the Consul incident, inasmuch as the Central Powers have threatened to demand their representatives' passports unless full satisfaction is obtained from the Allies. The Chamber has been hurriedly convened for the 17th inst. A NEW LANDING. THIRTY TRANSPORTS ARRIVE. ATHENS, January 3. Press reports state that 30 transports full of Allied troops have arrived in the Gulf of Orphano. The troops have begun to disembark. Orphano is about midway between Salonica and Kavala.
