A GENERAL ADVANCE.
ITALIANS IN THE TYROL. MOVE TO ASSIST SERBIA. ROME, October 22. With a view to assisting Serbia, General Cadorna ordered a general advance in the Tyrol. This has already resulted in the taking of Pregasina, menacing Riva, and the capture of Brentonico, threatening Rovereto. It is estimated that there are 800,000 Austrians ,on the Italian front. VIENNA, October 22. A communique says: "A battle on a great scale is proceeding on flic whole north-western front. Numerous heavy Italian attacks in the Tyrol failed."
