Mr W. Thomson, of 11 Ombersley Terrace, Opawa, has received a letter from his youngest son, Sapper R M. Thomson, dated September 12, stating that he is in the Abbassieh Hospital, Cairo, sufferings from dysentery and a septic right hand. Mr Thomson lias had no: previous in-
formation of his son's condition. Sapper R. M. Thomson, whose letter was very short, owing to the condition of his hand, was feeling better v at the time of writing. His previous • letters, he stated, the chaplain had kindly written for him. These letters have not yet been received.
