TO-DAY'S CASES. The usual batch of week-end dra jka passed before Mr H. W. Bisljop, S. f.,. this morning. Six first offenders, five males and o female, were each fined the usual 5/-. FATHER'S FAULT. Archibald Stewart, a young man, wat charged with a third offence of drun« • kenness in Belfast Streetwith a breach of his prohibition order; and with using obscene language. . - He admitted all the offences, and said his father was the cause of it all. He was declared an habitual drunkard and committed to Roto Roa for twelve months. / . DRUNK—SOME WHERE. Judgment for plaintiff 'by default, with costs, was given in each of the following cases:—Motor Import Company v. F. Walker, £8 7/7; W. A. Blackmore v. C. Baguley, £9 9/8; F. D. Kesi teven v. Jane Boshel, £BS 10/-; Jane t de Renzi v. Percy Taylor, £2 10/-; N.2. Piano Company v. Emily Clara Bo yea, £4 10/-; Ernest Deuc.liar Johnson and Ebenezer Mcßae v. Mrs Johamia Don, £4 4/-; J. G. Yager and Co. v. Nicholls and Son, £27 11/11; W. A. Blackinore v. W. M. Thomson, £79 4/6; R. Trumaa v. John E. Giles, £1 7/3; Harris Bros. v. John and Vera Cameron, £5 15/3; M. E. Murray and Wm. Henry Nicholas, £2 8/6. Geo. E. King (Mr E. T. Harper) claimed £53 from Alfred J. Oliver (Mr Whitcombe) for the amount of a debt for asphalting due by defendant to Fredk. Blogg, and assigned to plaintiff^ Judgment was for the amount claimed, with costs. (Proceeding.) KAIAPOI. At the Ivaiapoi Magistrate's Court this morning, Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., presiding, Henry. Logan was fined 5/-, with costs 7/-, for driving at night without a light. Joseph Listpr was fined 20/- for having employed a person under 21 yoarw of age in the bar of the Mandeville Hotel. A second charge of a similar nature was withdrawn by the police. On the application of her parents, a girl 15 years of age was committed to Te Orangi Home.
