MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Bishop, S.M.) , There were only three eases on the . charge-sheet at the Magistrate's Court this morning. ■ William, Butler, a well-dressed .man of respectable appearance, pleaded guilty to a second offence of drunkenness. He was fined 10/-, in default'4B .hours' imprisonment. A first offender yrad .fined -5/-, or 24 hours in-gaol.
' . Albert Cross,' a young man, was i* charged with indecent exposure at New -.' Brighton on November 2. ' On the ap- . plication of Mr O. T. ,J. Alpers, who appeared for the aceused, a remand , was granted until to-morrow week. Bail was allowed' in the accused's own' bond ' of £SO, with one surety of £SO. CIVIL CASES.
' Judgment for the plaintiff, with costs, fey default, was given in the following civil casfes: —W. Strange and Co. (Mr Flesher) v. Andrew Forsyth, £3 1/6; -Geary and Yates (Mr Stringer) v. Mrs M. Munro, £6 10/-; Sarah Brown (Mr Alpers) v. ArthuT Bailey, £ls 9/1; J. A. Eedpath and Son (Mr Alpers) v. Robert Schumacher and Herbert Schumacher, £l4 2/5; Aulsebrook and Co. v. Wm. A.. Longworth, £lO 6/4. John Harrison (Mr '" Cuningham) claimed from Henry Sprosen (Mr Rowe) the sum of, £4, being half cost of'a boundary fence of property situated, in Dean Street. The defendant had paid . £2 14/1, with 8/- costs, into court. After hearing argument, his Worship gave judgment for the amount paid" into court, with additional costs.
