RIFLE SHOOTING.
CHRISTCHURCH DEFENCE CLUB. The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club opened its season on Saturday afternoon at the Cashmere range, with a match between teams selected by the president (Mr J. A. Lummis) and the deputy president (Mr H. Reynolds). . Seven, shots; per fired at each'of three ranges; A gusty south-westerly wind .•'tricked", the marksmen, and juet after the last range was reached the wind increased in strength and gustiness, making good shooting rery difficult.
