HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. To-night's special filmic feature at I"is Majesty's Theatre will be "Lost in Itaid Ocean,'' a dramatic the fan ous Vitagraph Co. The reproduction of a shipwreck is described as being astonishingly realistic, the ship collides with a.large iceberg with disastrous results. The vessel is seen gradually sinking before taking the final plunge to the, bottom of the sea. Wireless telegraphy is .also brought into the play with a resultant startlingly dramatic situation. Other items in the programme are: "The Limpet" (Nature study), f' Mabel's Busy. Day'' (Keystone comedy), "All Science : " <drama), "The Cockchafer" (Natural history), ''The^,English River Avon'' (scenic), "The Strategy" of Conductor 786" (comedy), and the latest copy of the "Gaumont Graphic." Hayward,'s Orchestra will supply appropriate incidental music. Box plans are available at the Dresden. . COLOSSEUM; The Colosseum was very largely attended at both afternoon and evening
sessions on Saturday, s and patronage should be „ quite as good this week, judging by the splendid series of pictures which is to be shown.- In the forefront will be a Vitagraph drama in two parts, entitled "A Pauper Millionaire. ' ' This film sets forth the | story of-a remarkable incident in the life of a New York millionaire in a most captivating manner, and should prove most attractive. Other studies to be shown are "A Barnyard Flirta-> tion," Keystone comedy; "Views of Munich," scenic; "He Said He Could Act," Lubin. comedy; "The Beach Combers," drama; "A Mountain Stream," seenic; "Mother and Wife, " drama; and '.' The Pathe Gazette," con?* taining-.a' splendid..budget of topical views. GLOBE * PICTURES. The Globe Theatre to-day has been showing a great patriotic study, "War Dogs of To-day," and patrtfnage has been extremely liberal. Still the success of the programme does not by any means depend on one particular film, and the supporting pictures are all well received. Some of these are '' The Plot of India's Hillmen," Kalem drama; "The Tiger," Vitagraph drama; and "The Australian Gazette," topical.
SYDENHAM PICTURES. The Sydenham Picture Theatre was largely attended on Saturday evening when the current programme was presented finally. For to-night a splendid new series is promised, to comprise ,"Lost in Mid Ocean," a tragedy of the mighty deep; "The English River Avon," scenic; "All For Science," drama; "Gaumont Graphic," topical; "The Cockchafer," nature study; "Strategy of Conductor 786," comedy; 1 ' The Limpet,'' nature study; and "Mabel's Busy Day," Keystone comedy. , ORGANRECITAL. Dr Bradshaw's Organ recital in His Majesty's Theatre last evening drew a larger audience than has been the case of late, and, the special "request" programme proved thoroughly enjoyable.
