At the aiseting of the Committee of the Canterbury , A. and P. Society to-day |»lr J. D. Kajl referred to the shortage of horses for the- Expeditionary Force. He said that some 70 horses were stilf required, as well as military saddles. After discussion it was decided to request farmers who may have suitable horses to communicate with the military authorities who are willing to purchase them. COLLE&E FOOTBALL. Dobson, a carpenter living in Salisbury Street, was working on a building in Glaudovey Street, Fondalton, to-day, when he fell from the second storey. With extraordinary luck he sustained nothing mors serious than a slight scalp wound and general bruises, but was admitted to the Hospital for attention. '
