Mr H. Scott-Bennett, the recently appointed national organiser for i; the Social-Democratic Party, arrived from the North this morning.,

To-morrow evening, at -8 p.m., in the King's Theatre, he will give his opening address in Christchureh, .giving an exposition of .the aims and objects of the party and the attitude it is going to observe towards the. present Government and the Liberal Party at the forthcoming elections. Mr H. Hunter, national president, will preside at the meeting. ' • - Mr Scott-Bennett expects to remain in Christchureh for close on a fortnight, and will address meetings practicallyevery night in the.;city and suburbs. His campaign in the South Island will extend over a month, and he will work right down to Invercargill and theBluff. He also' proposes to put in a month's organisation work in the North Island prior to the elections.
