HOCKEY.

CANTERBURY .ASSOCIATION. The Canterbury Hockey Association met last evening at the Y.M.C.A. Rooms. Mr W. E. Rogers was in the chair, and there were present Messrs C. Bellamy, D. Jones, A. S. Drayton, W. Leighton, W. Chappell, W. H. Down, and S. G. Holland. It was decided to send two teams, senior and junior, to Ashburton on Thursday, July 30. A letter was received from theOtago Association asking that a feam should be sent to Dunedin this season. —It was decided to send the strongest team available, and to continue the trip so that it could play Southland. The tour would take place at the end o£ the season. ' * Sydenham B v. Selwyn will be played on the Polo Ground (Addington) tomorrow,, instead of at Ensor 's Road. After some discussion it was decided to continue the First Grade competition on August 15 as usual.
