CONSTABLE IN TROUBLE.
TWO CHARGES AGAINST HIM. Press Association. WELLINGTON, Juno 22. John Johnston, of the New Zealand Police Force, has been charged with desertion, and has been remanded to appear at Oamaru on Wednesday. On this date he also has to appear on a warrant, charging him with being about to leave without providing for the maintenance of his alleged illegitimate unborn child.
