NORTH SHORE CLUB THE ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the North Shore Cricket Club was held last night. Hr. H. C. Bennett presided. The report stated that in spite of heavy expenditure in improving the playing area and pavilion, the club was in a satisfactory financial position. Although the club did not win any gradechampionships last season, it was declared the championship club, by virtue of the excellent performances of its teams in all grades. Appreciation was expressed of the action of the Auckland Cricket Association in providing an indoor wicket for practice during the winter. The following officers were elected: President, Dr. H. C. Bennett; vicepresidents, same as last year; secretary, Mr. T. E. Smith; treasurer, Mr. S. J. Smith; gear steward, Mr. S. J. Wilson; hon. auditors. Messrs'. Eyre, Wilson; club captain, Mr. W. J. Coates; management committee, Messrs. Li. Colebourne, H. Webb, S. Townshend, L. Saunders, H. Jaques, W. Mclndoe, A. Player; delegates to Auckland Cricket Association, Messrs. A. Jaques, ' W. J. Coates, L. H. Saunders. The following trophies were awarded: | Vercoe Cup for the best bowling aver- . age in the senior grade A, Air. W. J. Coates; Mr. F. T. MOUNT ROSKILL CLUB A cricket club has been formed at Alount Roskill under the name of the Alount Roskill Cricket Club. It lias been decided to seek affiliation with the City and Suburban Cricket Association. The new club is fortunate in having t been given the free use of a ground in Buekland Road. A wicket of ~Alorrinsville mixture” has been laid down, and the outfield is receiving attention. Airs. E. Hayr is patroness of the club, Air. E. F. MATAMATA CLUB From Our Own Correspondent MATAAIATA. Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Matamata Cricket Club was held on Tuesday evening, Mr. TV. W. Livingstone being in the chair. A small credit balance was shown, and tlie report stated that the club had had a successful season. Officers elected were as follow; Patron, Air. J. W. Simpson; president. dents, Alessrs. J. F. Wells, J. Cransvy lek, E. Jones, H. Williams and Dr. T* Laurenson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. R. Whelan; committee, Alessrs. W. W. Livingstone, R. Beaver and J. R. Whelan; selectors, same as committee; delegates to Piako Association, Alessrs. W. Ayers and J. R. \\ helan. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Air. E. Hunt, the outgoing-sci - re tar y. Air. W. Ayers presented a bat for competition during' the coming season.
