PAEROA DEFENCE CLUB SUCCESSFUL YEARS WORK From Our Own Correspondent PAEROA, Thursday. A very successful year’s work was recorded in the report of the Paeroa Defence Rifle Club a: the annual meeting last niglit. Air. V. C. Hubbard presided. The report stated that the merabership of the club had increased,* and the financial position had improved. The balance-sheet showed the club s assets to be £9O 17s 6d, and liabilities nil. It was decided to reduce the subscription and range fees for junior members to half the ordinary fee. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow: —Parton, Air. A. M. Samuel. M.P.; vice-patron, Colonel E. W. Porritt; president. Air. F. C. Hubbard: deputy-president. Air. R. I. Wells; secretary and treasurer, ATr. A. A. Jenkinson; auditor, Air. W. D. Nicholas; handicappers and selectors, the president, deputy-president and secretary; range officer, the president; executive committee. Messrs. P. R. Hubbard, A*.'. A. Reid, E. Tnrton. A. E. Pearson. H. A. Aforrison, R. I. Roberts and L. Morris.
