BRIDE CARRIES LOVELY BOUQUET OF LILIES AND CYCLAMEN

JURY—JUDD

At St. Benedict’s Church, recently, a pretty wedding was celebrated, when May Louisa, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Judd, of Kingsland, was married to Frederick Joseph, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. Jury, of Remuera. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a picture frock of ivory satin with rounded yoke of silver lace. The corsage had long sleeves with handkerchief cuffs, embroidered in tiny pearls and the flared skirt ended in a hem of scalloped net on which were star-shaped flowers, finished with a large bow of tulle on one hip. A veil of brussels net was worn with scallops falling over the face and was held in place by a circle of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of cyclamens and lilies wreathed with pink tulle. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Father O’Neil, Miss Kathleen O’Leary presiding at the organ. During the ceremony, solos were sung by Miss Molly Green and Mr. Len Smith. The bride was attended by Miss Inez Tucker and Miss Rose Hall, cousins of the bride, and Miss Loma Pollard, who were gowned alike in georgette in pastel shades of green, blue and pink respectively. The pointed bodices were attached to full skirts dipping to the ankles at the back and small gold flowers defined the scalloped hems. Gold juliet caps with clusters of flowers at the ears were worn and each bridesmaid carried a shower bouquet to match her frock. Little Joan Hoare, niece of the bridegroom, made a charming trainbearer, wearing a long rose taffeta frock shirred to a point at the waist and frilled at the hem. She wore a dainty cap of gold lace and taffeta and carried a tiny posy of violets. Mr. Ray Jury, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and Mr. L. Judd and Mr. D. Judd were groomsmen. A reception was held in the Y.W.C.A. Assembly Ilall, where the bride’s mother received the guests wearing a frock of navy crepe de chine and lace with touches of lime and a navy felt hat. The bridegroom’s mother wore a gown of floral ring velvet in tones of blue and felt hat to match. Both carried bouquets of anemones and maidenhair fern.
