EXPRESS HITS BOULDER
ROLLING STOCK DAMAGED DELAYS TO TRAINS Press Association TE KTJITI, Today. The Northbound express which passes through Te Kuiti at 2.40 a.m., ran into a large boulder on the side i of the track three miles south of Te 1 Kuiti this morning, resulting in ' damage* to the engine, two cars and the postal van. The under-gear of the engine was damaged, the steps and battery box torn off one car, and the steps ana j under-gear of another car damaged, i The van was only slightly damaged. The express was delayed two and a-quarter hours. The Limited express i was also delayed one and a-quarter , hours while the track was cleared. No , oue was injured.
