SKI CHAMPIONS

CONTEST AT NATIONAL PARK WINTER SPORTS PARTY Those who fancy themselves on skis will have a chance to display their skill at Tongariro National Park between August 28 and September 9, when the amateur ski-ing championship of New Zealand will be decided. This will be included in the programme of the annual winter sports party of the Ruapehu Ski Club at the National Park this year. The sixteenth annual general meeting of the club will also be held at Chateau Tongariro on Saturday, August 31, when the annual report and balance sheet will be submitted and officers elected for the ensuing year. In order to keep the cost of the trip as low as possible the committee has decided to take advantage of the special excursion fares available and intends arranging for the members to travel second class.
