HELPING AVIATION

DONATION FOR WHANGAREI ANONYMOUS FRIEND’S GIFT (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI, Sunday. News was received on Saturday morning from Mr. D. Mill, of the Auckland Air Survey and Transport Co., Ltd., that he had available the sum of £SO for the erection of a hangar for the Whangarei Aero Club, cn their airdrome at Pohe Island reclamation. This gum is a donation to the Whangarei Aero Club from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. The amount is just sufficient to erect a hangar large enough to accommodate one Moth airplane with wings folded. This donation will assist the local aero club to erect a larger hangar on the airdrome in the near future, so that accommodation may be available for visiting machines in addition to those owned by the club. This' generous donation from an outside source should do much to stimulate practical support of the Whangarei Aero Club by local and district residents.
