FIRE AT CLAUDELANDS

MUCH FURNITURE DESTROYED (Special to THE SUN) HAMILTON, To-day. A house owned by Mr. M. J. Thomas, of Frankton, and occupied by Mr. F. R. V. Challiner, in Stanley Street, Claudelands, was badly damaged by fire on Wednesday evening. Mr. Challiner had been on the point of leaving the house, and his furniture was packed ready for removal. Almost all of it was destroyed in the packing cases. It was insured for £ 350. At the time of the lire Mr. and Mrs. Challiner were away from the ho us*.
