FAIR TO RAISE FUNDS The scheme for developing Melrose ; Park at Devonport by reclaiming portion of Shoal Bay, is being enthusias- j tically supported by the residents in | that area of Devonport. Last evening a special committee j made, arrangements for a thorough j canvass of the residents living in Mel- : rose; it was reported that many offers of money had already been made. A women’s committee is also busy, and it is hoped to make arrangements for a big fair within the next feuweeks. The money raised will be used in relieving unemployment, part of it being specially earmarked for relief of ex-soldiers, of whom 15 have already registered for employment.
