Round the Churches
Holy Communion will be celebrated by Canon James at the morning service at St. Alary’s Cathedral. Parnell. The annual meeting of the Venerable Order of St. John in the afternoon will be addressed by his Grace the Archbishop. Canon James will preach again the evening. Members of the Advertising Club will attend the - morning service at St. Matthew's, Wellesley Street, when Canon Grant Cowen will preach on “Christ in Business.’’ The Rev. Clias. Chandler will preach at 7 p.m. The monthly service for men will be held to-morrow evening at the Ed on dale Presbyterian Church. A special mission is being conducted at Somervell Church, Remuera, and there will be a Bible Class Rally at three o’clock. The Associated Churches of Christ are meeting at Ponsonby Road, Dominion Road, Onehunga, Richmond, Avondale, Devonport, Point Chevalier and Alount Albert. A baptismal service will precede an address by Dr. Pettit on ‘ The Solution of Present Day Problems,” at the Grange Road Baptist Church to-morrow evening. A talk on “Glimpses _ of Spirit Life During Sleep,” will be given by Airs. Harris-Roberts at the Spiritual Scientists' Church, Newton Chambers, to-morrow evening-. There is to be a trance address by a student at the Spiritualists’ Church, 1.0.0. F. Hall, Pitt Street, to-morrow evening. Nurse Clayton will speak on “Where is Hell?” Airs. Hudson will receive messages during the evening meeting at the Progressive Spiritualists’ Church, Newmarket, to-morrow at 7 p.m. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, will meet as usual to-morrow in the Church Hall, Symonds Street. Air. J. Crosier and Air. D. Stewart, Baptist College students, are to conduct the morning and evening services at the Royal Oak Baptist ‘Church. The usual song service for men is beingheld at the Y.AI.C.A. to-morrow at 4.15 P-m-At the Methodist Central Atission tomorrow, the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour will preach.
