ROTARY CONFERENCE
AUCKLAND HOSPITALITY (From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, To-dav. In reporting at Monday’s meeting of the Palmerston North Rotary Club on the conference recently held in Auckland, Rotarian N. H. Mackie stated that the hospitaltiy of the Auckland people had been so encompassing tba: the visitors had had everything don? for them. The conference had proved most enjoyable and instructive, but he had thought that a little too muct time had been devoted to speeches oi more or less the same tenor. Rotarian B. J. Jacobs considered that Palmerston North, the site of next year’s conference, would be “well up against it,” and everyone would have to work assiduously in the preparation. Conditions in Palmerston North and Auckland differed materially, but with good team work the conference i could be made an unqualified success I
