Big Increase In Britain’s Overseas Trade.
British Official Wireless. Rugby, Jan. 22, Estimated charges in the volume of overseas trade in recent years on a basis of valuation of imports arid exports at the average values of 1930, show that in comparison with 1934, exports from the United Kingdom in 1935 increased by 8 per cent, following an increase of 7 per cent, in 1934, compared with 1933. Reexports increased by 13.5 per cent, and imports into the United Kingdom increased by 2 per cent. Britain’s aeronautical exports touched a new high record in 1935. In value they airiounted to £2,680,729, which was more than the highest total attained in 1929, ani,i nearly double the value of the export business in 1933. The increase over last year’s figures represents a gain of 29.2" per cent. The exports go to more than 70 States. ■ '
