Captain Francizek Jiynek and Lieut. Znigniew Buiysynski, Polish balloonists lost since September 2 in the Gordon Bennet balloon race, arrived to-day at Riviere a Pierre (Quebec). They said their balloon was forced down in the forest at Moren, a hundred miles distant. They were uninjured and walked all but twelve- miles of the way to Riviere a Pierre. The search for Messrs Ward Vanorman and Frank Trotter, United States entrants who are the only other unrepo;:ted balloonists, is being continued. It is unofficially announced that the Poles won the distance tvem, their landing being about 1000 miles from Chicago, where the race began. Mr. Vanorman is believed to be somewhere in an isolated portion of Canada.
