CALCUTTA, July 3. At 7.5 a.m. the Southern Cross departed for Karachi this mroning. The fliers reported the going from, Rangoon was uneventful. There was only a little rain and they made a perfect landing yesterday, earlier than was expected, at the dreaded Dumdum aerodrome. A later message from Allahabad says the Southern Cross landed at Allahabad at 12.15 p.m. owing to magneto trouble. They will possibly leave for Karachi to-night* The airmen are planning to fly from Bagdad to Rome and then to London, which they should reach cm Friday, thus easily breaking the record.
