YAP BOMBARDED. DESTRUCTION OF GERMAN WIRELESS LINK. United Press (Association. (Received 10.40 a.m.) Sydney, October 2. Reports received state that British cruisers destroyed the German Government wireless station at Yap, Caroline Islands, after warning the operators. The cruisers' bombardment completely demolished the station, which is an important link in the German chain of communication with the Far East.
