THE CALUMET RIOTS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] New York, September 2. The Calumet copper miners have resumed rioting. There was fierce lighting b tween the sheriffs, deputies and the miners. A girl was shot dead, and many were injured. The militia finally restored order. PAINTERS AGAINST TERMS. (Received 9.20 a.m.) London, September 2. The painters in London balloted and decided by twenty to one against acceptance of terms. STRIKE RIOTS. London, September 2. Three hundred striking clay workers at St. Austell have returned to work under police protection. A large force of pickets attempted to prevent them, forcing the police to .charge with batons. Forty were injured, including the strike loaders, before the crowd dispersed.
