CONFLICTING ACCOUNTS.

FIGHTING AT BAYONET POINT

There are conflicting accounts of the fighting in .Macedonia. Both Bulgaria and Senna claim the upperhand, and state that they scored important victories at the same places and at the same time. The general opinion is that the Servians were mainly successful, but well-informed Viennese circles hold that the Bulgarians are successfully carrying out their plan to hold the Greeks in check while they deal with the Servians.

One thing is clear, and that is that

the Servians lost more heavily during the week than their loss in the whole Turkish campaign. Both armies hammered each other with the utmost ferocity along the whole sixty miles front. It is also certain that the Bulgarian loss was greater than tho Servian loss. Most of the wounc.ed arriving at Belgrade are suffering from bayonet and knife wounds, the result of hand-to-hand conflicts. Comparatively lew are suffering from gunshot injuries.

TERRITORIAL CONCESSIONS

The Daily Mail’s Vienna correspondent says that Austria Jias arranged a bargain between Bulgaria and Roumanian Bulgaria receiving Salonika in return for territorial concessions.

The Servians have captured Kri/olak.
