The public are notified that during die coming holidays they should not leave their houses empty, owing to tin •suffragettes.
A suffragette who paid in advance for the whole of the rooms for a week at an hotel in Henley, departed aftei occupying them for a night, all the iinen, blankets, mattresses, walls and ceilings being stamped with the words. “Votes for women!”
DISCOVERY OF A PLOT,

THE CAT AND MOUSE ACT

The Daily Mail states that the mill tnnt suffragette conspiring as an ef fective organisation will be crusher by the Cat and Mouse Act. It is non practically leaderless.
A GUNPOWDER PLOT
Gunpowder which was placed in ai iron pipe exploded in a subterannear passage in the Liverpool Exchange and did some damage.
CHURCH DESTRUCTION
William Ross has been arrested, being suspected of firing Salem Chapel and a number of other chapels ii Wales. The collection boxes were rob bed.
ECLIPSING ALL PREVIOUS EFFORTS.

The Standard asserts that it is intended to eclipse all previous efforts, \ woman on a certain night will be appointed to fire the leading business centres and Government offices. Suf. fragettes have consulted experts regarding the preparation and handling of a vast amount of dangerous material, which will be removed to i place to allay suspicions. They have jffered French aviators rich rewards o cross the Channel and drop bombs. Simultaneously the aviators communicated with the British officials.
SOUTHPORT PIER ON FIRE.

The Southport pier was soaked with paraffin and ignited. The fire was extinguished, hut a shelter shed was destroyed. Suffragette literature was found on the pier.
