Earl Harcourt lias cabled His Excellency Governor Barron that in older to avoid undue delay tho New Zealand will visit only one port en route from South Africa, the call being made for coaling only and not for the purpose of ceremony. As Lord Denman requested the call to be made at Melbourne, the Admiralty feels it must comply, though it deeply regrets the disappointment this causes to Tasmania.
