LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 4. The Hon. Mr. Samuel reviewed the provisions of the Bill, and said they were to be congratulated that “this poisonous cloud” of leasehold was being dispersed. The best interests of the mass of the country wore sacrificed in the past because of the establishment of the 'lease-in-perpetuity tenure. The Hon. Mr. Mills favoured the leasehold tenure. The Council adjourned.
