BLASTING ACCIDENT.

DEATHS OF TWO MOKE MEN RECORDED. MIRACULOUS ESCAPES. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. United Press Association. Sydney, May 28. Two more victims have succumbed to their injuries from the blasting accident. Their names, are Abbott and McDonnell, Lewis, Steffens, Eeald, Karnes, Nurse, and three others were also injured. The cause f the accident is unknown. About thirty men were employed in the quarry. There ivere some miraculous escapes. Abbott a.ud Steffens, working close, to the fatal blast, were killed, and a third man escaped almost scatheless. The other deceased were loading a dray some distance away. A huge mass ol stone was hurled on to the top ;,1 the dray, smashing it and killing the hoi:-? and' 'three men, and fatally injuring two others. The driver, Campbell, was thrown over the horse's head, bvii was not seriously hurt.

DEATHS UNCONFIRMED. Sydney, May 28. Information from other sources states that Steffens and Heald arc both seriously injured, and the repon of their deaths is unconfirmed.

SEVEN INJURED. (Received 29, 9.40 a.m.) Sydney, May 2'3. StefFcn and Heald are alive, and are at the hospital. Altogether seven were injured, three seriously. Tnc eharge exploded while tamping with a wooden rammer.
