Baron Achronthal, in a speech, stated that an increase of thirty thousand effectives in the army was required for the protection of Austria-Hungary, for safety and to enable the country to cooperate with the allies in the interests of general peace. ENGLAND’S AID RECOGNISED

(Received 30, 9 a.m.) Vienna, December 29. Addressing the Delegations, Dr. Kraemev referred to the dangers of Austria’s close relations with Germany, by which Austria might jbe draw into a world’s conflict with which it was not concerned. They had to thank England’s intervention for producing the Moroccan settlement.
