THE RACING CLUB.

'MEETING OP, THE COMMITTEE

The final arrangements for the Stratford Racing Club’s Annual Meeting were made last night, when the usual committee meeting took place. There were present: Messrs. A. W. Budge! (in the chair), S. Pitt, E. B. Stohr, D. J. Malone, H. Good, W. P. Kirkwood, J. F. Watson, and W. H. Young. Two , new members were elected. It was decided to accept Mr. Kivell’s tender to sell race-cards. Stewards were elected, and a great deal of routine work incidental to the race meeting was got through.

The weather is now the only factor that can make or mar the success of January Ist and 2nd’s racing. Two days of fine weather and a dry wind, to conclude the year, will leave the track in splendid condition. With no break in the climatic conditions, the going will be heavy indeed.
