Lamasoti and Melville's Weekly Report.
Poultry.—On Saturday last we had the heaviest entry on record. Besides the whole of our pens being taxed to the utmost, quite a large number were offered in boxes. Bidding was keen, and, despite the large number offering, the demand was unsatisfied,. late maces being fully maintained throughout. We quote: Roosters Is lOd to 2s 4d, cockerels Is to Is od, hens Is Sd to 2s 3d, chicks 4d to Is, ducks 2s to 2s 2d, ducklings Is Id to 2s Gd, geese 3s Gd to 4s, turkey hens 4s to os, gobblers 7s 3d to 11s Gd each. Produce.—-Rhubarb 7s to 8s doz bundles, gooseberries 2d to 2.*d per lb, onions 2d per lb, new potatoes Id per lb, old potatoes 7s Gd sack, 2001 b sacks pollard 14s.
Gig harness £2 10s to £5 10s, gig £8; large quantity of household furniture, tools, and sundries, sold well.
