The official recount in connection with the recent licensing poll was completed on Tuesday, and no considerable errors were found as compared with the counts on the night of the election. The total number of votes cast on the licensing issues was 5023, consisting of 3112 men and 2216 women. For continuance 2578 votes were cast, and for no-license 2825. The vote against national prohibition was 2111 and in its favour 3282. On the no-license issue there were 225 informal votes, and on the national prohibition issue 232. Of these 95 percent. were deliberately informal—either both or neither lines were erased, about half of the percentage being treated one way and half the other. The votes wore 451 short of carrying no-license and 95 (for the electorate) of national prohibition.
