ASSAILANT GETS TWO MONTHS’ HARD LABOUR.
CHANCELLOR’S BLACK EYE
(Received 19, 10.10 a.m.) London, December 18
Mr. Lloyd-Goorgo’s assailant was Allan McDongall, aged 18, a member of the Social Political Union.
The Chancellor appeared with a black eye, and gave evidence. At Ins request the Magistrate reduced the charge to one of common assault.
McDongall was sentenced to two months’ hard labour.
