TARANAKI CHRISTMAS MEETING
The acceptances and general entries for the Taranaki Jockey Chili’s Christmas meeting closed last night. Good acceptances have been received in every event except the Christmas Handicap, for widen only four have accepted as against eight last year. The acceptances tins year total to within two of last year. The general entries total 81, an increase of 14 over last year. Welter Handicap, 7 furlongs.— Plantation 10.9, Mangawhaka. 9.13, Cornelian, Silver Cluseand Monsieur Soult 9.4, Clemency 9.3, Bonny Lass 9.0.
