AN NIVERS ARY CELEBRATION S CONTINUED.

A SUCCESSFUL TEA

The coming of age of the Primitive Methodist Sunday School was further celebrated last evening, when at both me children's and adults’ tea good companies gathered. The tables were temptingly arranged by the ladies, and were freighted with all manner of excellencies, to which full justice was done; '1 ne entertainment, presided over by the superintendent of the school, Mr. E. G. Foster, proved an interesting function .The children again acquitted themselves splendidly in the singing of their hymns, under the careful tuition of Mr T. Lamason. The following items were contributed to the programme:—Solos, Keitha and .Heg. Martin, Mrs Hancock and Miss Sanders; recitations, Miss Wade, Tanner Robinson, and Jimmy Foster. The sixty-six books of the Bible were well repeated in order without a mistake by Eileen Parker, for which a special prize was given. The secretary’s report, read by Mr C. Russ, showed that good work had been done during the year, 33 names being added to the roll. r l he balancesheet revealed a surplus of over £5 mi the year’s working. A short address was given by Mr Foster, and the Rev. 13. Metson presented the prizes to the scholars. A special prize, given for the highest attendance, was won by Albert Burgess. During the course of his remarks the superintendent stated that this anniversary had been a record in the history of the school. Votes of thanks to all who contributed to the 'success of the celebrations were heartily carried, special mention being made of the services of Mr T. Lamason, M iss Robinson, and Mr R. Lobb.
