CHINESE CIVIL WAR.
JAPANESE TROOPS LAND. Tokio, November 19. It is officially reported that Japan has landed a party at Crifu. REBELS REPULSED. Pekin, November 19. The rebels’ attack on the Imperials near Hankow was repulsed. THE REVOLUTIONARIES TO BE COERCED. HANKOW NIGHTLY BOMBARDED.
Pekin, November 18. Yuan-Shih-Kai has appointed General Tuan-Chi-Jni, Acting-Viceroy at Huna-Hupeh, with orders to suppress the rebellion and coerce the Revolutionaries to accept a compromise, in order to permit the retention of the dynasty. It is reported that Sah was induced to land at Kin-Kiang. The rebels made him a prisoner, and thereupon the fleet hoisted the Revolutionary flag. The Imperialists at Nanking are attacking the rebel outposts. The latter’s artillery enabled them to retain the position. There is heavy' firing at Hankow, which is nightly bombarded. The majority of the revolted provinces prefer Shanghai as a Republican capital, as being more peaceful than other cities.
