THE HAWERA SHOW.

The Egrnont A. and P. Show, which takes place next week at Hawera, is always noted for its cattle exhibits, and this year’s fixture will be no exception. With a district so renowned in dairying it is only natural to expect to see well-bred cattle.' Taranaki breeders arc daily on the look-out for the very best in dairy stock, and high orices have been given for pedigree animals. Though Jersey is yet the predominant breed the Ayrshire and Holstein cattle are getting a strong footing, and the show next week, especially of Jerseys and Ayrshires, will be an exceptionally fine one. A solid silver challenge cup donated by the X.Z. Shipping Co., Ltd., is being keenly competed for.
