It is a long time since a fanner was made bankrupt in this district. The farm was lost by foreclosure. : GISBORNE SHOW. >• //.“..Gisborne, October 24. . The thirty-second annual A. and P; Show opened to-day in fine weather. The .attendance was not quite -as large as usual, but a, record .attendance. is expected .to-ihorrow, “People’s Day.” Interest in' the show was well maintained, mid the entries increased from 1229 last year to 1246. There was Eti-particular-ly good increase in cattle entries. -The sheep classes were only notable for the exhibit -of Romneys. - The ■ champion -awards in the sheep r classes werefl Lincoln ram, A. J. Cameton (Gisborne); Lincdn ewe, R. C. Miller (Gisborne); Romney ram A. and J. Gray (Masterton); Romney ewe, Hutchinson and Son (Hawke’s Bay).
