OBITUARY.

(Per Press Association.) Blenheim, October 12. Mr. A. J. Lichfield died 'yesterday afternoon. He was one of the pioneers of the. Wairan, and was aged 67. He was one of the first students at Nelson College. He had served on a number of Ideal bodies, was a collector of Maori curios, and had a lipe museum and library of historical works on New Zealand. He leaves a widow, four sons and four daughters.
