RECIPROCITY.
NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA. (Received 7, 9.45 a.m.) Melbourne, October 7. Mr Tudor has invited negotiations with Now Zealand regarding reciprocity by despatching a request for information. He intends shortly to communicate with Canada. Sir Joseph Ward’s announcement that ho would be glad to enter into an agreement similar to the one with South Africa is regarded as touching merely the fringe of the subject. The Common-, wealth is more likely- to want an agreement similar to that between New Zealand and Canada. Mr Fisher is an ardent advocate of reciprocity, and declares that wc must draw the countries nearer together.
