The Now Zealand Oilfield;; Co., Ltd., commenced operations in No. 2 here, near Ormond, yestctrdpy. No. 1 bore at Totangi is 20U feet down. It is intended to work double shifts, and the manager hopes to have results by Christmas.
Tho Gisborne Oil Co. is jalso making good progress with its well at Waitangi.
