At a special parade of the loca Territorials last night, the Governoi

presented, medals as follows :— Major Gascoyne, officer's decoration for 20 years’ service in colonial and auxiliary forces, for being mentioned in despatches when on active service, and twice recognised for the New Zealand Cross; Captain W. Fraser, medal for eighteen years’ service; Captain Shelly, for long and efficient service of twelve years; Colour-Sergeant Giiadell, long-service medal; Sergeant Minett, long-service medal. This morning his Excellency laid the foundation stone of the Hukarero Maori Girls’ School.
