SIR ROBERT HART. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) London, September 21. Sir Robert Hart, M.A., L.L.D., G. C.M.G., late Inspector-General of Customs in China, is dead. Mrs Osborne, wife of the Rev. Osborne, of New Plymouth, was a sister of the late Sir Robert Hart.

LIEUT.-COL. HA WKIN S SUDDENLY EXPIRES. (T'cr Press Association.) Christchurch, September 21. Lieutenant-Colonel Hawkins, Officer Commanding the Canterbury district, died suddenly on the Shirley goll links this afternoon from heart failure. He was playing a game with a friend, when ho fell and was found to bo dead.
