The underwriters at Lloyd’s have accepted 12 per cent, on big insurances to pay loss in the event of the outbreak of war between two or three specified Powers before 1912. TO-DAY'S; MESSAGES. The “Daily Mail’s” Berlin correspondent states that the run on the savings banks has impressed the people as to the effect of hostilities on German industry. A financial authority states that since the beginning of August Germany has been deprived of over £5,000,000, which has been withheld by French banks. Herr Kiderlin-Wachter is reported to have stated that no Chancellor would face the Reichstag to justify war over a few Moroccan sandhills. Berlin, September 7.
