RIFLE SHOOTING.
A HANDSOME OFFER. London, August 15. Lord Haldane, Minister for War, has received an anonymous offer of £IO,OOO from an Englishman beyond the seas for a riflo range in one of the thickly populated districts. . The writer emphasises the growing impulse throughout the Empire towards united action in defence. Lord Haldano has accepted the offer, expressing the Government’s warm appreciation.
